That marks the end of my 4 year course... 4 years... It was a struggle... BUT looking back, it was worth it afterall... Still can't believe that I've finally graduated... And got a job at the BIGGEST Pharmacy group in Western Australia... Had a talk with my boss today... Guaranteed a job after I register... Am a truly blessed girl... Looking back, there were tears, joy and happiness... Happy whenever I pass each year, Sad and blue when I get supplementary papers, Teary when I study... BUT the experience has trained me up to become a better person... And I am so blessed because of it all...
I'm so tired... Went to the blue duck at Cottlesloe for dinner yesterday... Then went to the movies... Watched the Heartbreak Kid... Got home at like 11:50??? BUT it was worth it... Great time catching up...
Dinner at the Blue Duck...
View from Cottlesloe... It was raining at Rottnest Island...
Headed to Garbo for
The Heartbreak Kid
Single and indecisive, Eddie begins dating the incredibly sexy and seemingly fabulous Lila. Upon the urging of his father and best friend, Eddie proposes to her after only a week, fearing this may be his last chance at love, marriage, and happiness.
However, while on their honeymoon in sunny Mexico, Lila reveals her true beyond-awful nature and Eddie meets Miranda, the woman he realizes to be his actual soul mate. Eddie must keep his new, increasingly horrid wife at bay as he attempts to woo the girl of his dreams.
Movies to watch before End of 2007
1. Enchanted 26/12/07
A classic Disney animated fairy tale meets with the modern, live-action romantic comedy in Walt Disney Pictures’ ENCHANTED. Featuring an all-star cast, the film follows the beautiful princess Giselle (AMY ADAMS) as she is banished by an evil queen (SUSAN SARANDON) from her magical, musical animated land and finds herself in the gritty reality of the streets of modern-day Manhattan. Shocked by this strange new environment that doesn’t operate on a “happily ever after” basis, Giselle is now adrift in a chaotic world badly in need of enchantment.
But when Giselle begins to fall in love with a charmingly flawed divorce lawyer (PATRICK DEMPSEY) who has come to her aid -- even though she is already promised to a perfect fairy tale prince (JAMES MARSDEN) back home – she has to wonder: can a storybook view of romance survive in the real world?
ENCHANTED is directed by Kevin Lima (“Tarzan,” “Eloise At Christmastime”) from a screenplay written by Bill Kelly (“Blast From the Past”) and will feature original songs from the reunited team of acclaimed composer Alan Menken and lyricist Stephen Schwartz (“Pocahontas,” “Hunchback of Notre Dame”).
2. P.S. I love you - 25/12/2007 (From one of my favourite books by Cecilia Ahern)
Holly Kennedy (Hilary Swank) is beautiful, smart and married to the love of her life – a passionate, funny and impetuous Irishman named Gerry (Gerard Butler). So when Gerry’s life is taken by an illness, it takes the life out of Holly. The only one who can help her is the person who is no longer there. Nobody knows Holly better than Gerry. So it’s a good thing he planned ahead.
Before he died, Gerry wrote Holly a series of letters that will guide her, not only through her grief but in rediscovering herself. The first message arrives on Holly’s 30th birthday in the form of a cake and, to her utter shock, a tape recording from Gerry, who proceeds to order her to get out and “celebrate herself”. In the weeks and months that follow, more letters from Gerry are delivered in surprising ways, each sending her on a new adventure and each signing off in the same way P.S. I Love You.
Holly’s mother (Kathy Bates) and best friends, Sharon (Gina Gershon) and Denise (Lisa Kudrow), begin to worry that Gerry’s letters are keeping Holly tied to the past, but, in fact, each letter is pushing her further into a new future.
With Gerry’s words as her guide, Holly embarks on a touching, exciting and often hilarious journey of rediscovery in a story about marriage, friendship and how a love so strong can turn the finality of death into new beginning of life.
